Casual Duty Manager roles

WSF runs two lively community centres in E16 – one in Britannia Village and another in Royal Wharf.

We often need cover for staff annual leave and when we have lots of hires on, so we need a few people who can help us to open and close our spaces and deal with hirers when they are in the building. These are vital roles that will help to support WSF to deliver the hire of its spaces and to maintain our strong positive relationships with the local community.

About you
• Interested in connecting and supporting the local community
• Reliable and able to work on your own
• Happy to deal with people and undertake some basic cleaning duties while on shift

At present we are looking for a few people to join our pool who we can call on provide cover for annual leave and when we have lots on.  This won't be regular weekly hours. But in the new year we are likely to have opportunities for more regular hours available when we start working in some new spaces.

We will need people who can work weekend daytimes, as well as weekdays, mainly in the evenings but also some mornings during school holidays. You would not be expected to work all these times – just let us know which would be best for your availability.

We will pay £12 per hour for any time worked and provide you with full training and support.

The role will be based on a casual contract, and you will be free to accept or decline hours when they are offered.

Please email by Friday 10th December explaining:

  • Why you would be good for the role.
  • Please include any days or times of the week that you know you won’t be able to be available to work. This won’t necessarily be a barrier to you being considered but we will be looking to have a range of days and times covered.
  • Also include your full name, address and a contact phone number.
  • Please note that this role will be subject to a DBS check.

We will be making our decisions about who to get back to about interviews based on this, so please make sure you include all the information.
