Britannia Village Hall is the only community centre in the area. We offer flexible spaces for hire, whether you are a group of 20 people or 200. We often work with:
- Individuals and families hosting parties, weddings and other celebrations
- Practitioners seeking a space to run fitness and wellbeing classes
- Organisations hosting meetings, seminars and exhibitions
- Groups seeking a venue for arts and craft activities, adult learning or faith meetings
Our prices are affordable and provide great value for money. We also offer a 10% discount to: Britannia Village Service Charge payers (upon presentation of address); anyone booking multiple rooms together; and anyone who makes ten or more regular bookings and pays monthly in advance.
The income we receive from hire goes to improving our activities and services. So when you making a booking with us, your local community benefits too!

Our large hall is airy with a high ceiling, giving a great sense of space. It has a sprung wood floor and is ideal for larger parties and celebrations, exhibitions, and fitness activities. It can host up to 230 people. It also comes with a stage, which is available for hire at a small extra cost.
Our Hub Room is a medium-size space which can be flexibly configured for parties and celebrations, group activities and meetings. It is best for groups of 40 to 70 people.
Our Yellow and Blue Rooms are slightly smaller and are ideal for groups of 10 to 50 people.
We have our own car park. There is controlled parking on the street around the Village Hall from Monday to Sunday between the hours of 8am and 6.30pm. West Silvertown DLR station is just a few minutes’ walk away, and the 474 bus stops nearby.
We have an onsite kitchen which is available for bookings in the Main Hall at £50 for the duration of your event. It is perfect for serving hot and cold drinks, cakes and snacks. There is a cooker, fridge, microwave, hot water urns and a dishwasher.
If you’re looking for help with catering, our friends at the Garden Community Café can provide a range of tasty and affordable cold food options including sandwiches and wraps, snacks, fruit and cake. For menus and prices, please contact the friendly café team on 020 7511 1232 or email@example.com
If you require hot food, we can recommend local suppliers for that too – just give us a call!
You are welcome to bring your own alcohol. Alternatively, some clients decide to hire a mobile bar with a licence. Please note, however, that WSF does not have a licence to sell alcohol and it is strictly forbidden to sell alcohol at your event yourself.
Terms and Conditions
Bookings are confirmed on receipt of a non-refundable deposit of £100 for the Main Hall and £50 for the other rooms. We also ask for a refundable cash-only damage deposit of £250 for the Main Hall and £150 for other bookings, payable at least 48 hours before the event.
