


Hire our Facilities
WSF runs Britannia Village Hall and Royal Wharf Community Dock and these are the only community centres in the area. We offer flexible spaces for hire, whether you are a group or looking for a space for a family gathering. We often work with:
- Individuals and families hosting parties and other celebrations
- Practitioners seeking a space to run fitness and wellbeing classes
- Organisations hosting meetings, seminars and exhibitions
- Groups seeking a venue for arts and craft activities, adult learning or sessions for children
Our prices are affordable and provide great value for money.
We also offer a 10% discount to Britannia Village Service Charge payers at BV Hall and a 25% discount for Royal Residents at the Community Dock (upon presentation of address) There are also discounts anyone who makes regular bookings.
The income we receive from hire goes to improving our activities and services. So when you making a booking with us, your local community benefits too!

BV Hall
Main Hall
Our large hall is airy with a high ceiling, giving a great sense of space. It has a sprung wood floor and is ideal for larger parties and celebrations, exhibitions, and fitness activities. It can host up to 160 people. It also comes with a stage, which is available for hire at a small extra cost.
Other spaces
Our Hub Room is a medium-size space which can be flexibly configured for parties and celebrations, group activities and meetings. It is best for groups of up to 40 people.
Our Side Building is a self-contained space with its own toilet and small kitchenette area for making drinks. It is best for meetings, tutoring and small activity sessions. It is best for groups of up to 30 people.


Community Dock
Main Space
A large bright, modern space with full length windows along one wall. Can be set up with tables and chairs that can be cleared for the hires that need the full floor space. Up to 200 standing.
A flexible event space capable of supporting a range of functions including public meetings, consultations and training.


Activity Centre
A unique, self -contained space separated from the main area by a soundproof divider and door. The cheerful space benefits from having its own toilet and kitchenette area (no cooking facilities).
About 30 standing, about 10-12 with exercise mats. For any small parties the capacity is 25.
Suitable for: workshops, exercise classes, meetings, training sessions, small children’s parties.


Meeting Room
Bright, airy meeting rooms with smart TVs available for presentations.
There are 2 separate meetings rooms available, both a similar size. They can also be hired as one large room with the divider stored away at the side of the room.
Max 12 seated at table or 24 seated in rows in double room or max 6 seated at table in single room
Suitable for: Meetings, training sessions, workshops, group work and breakout space, private 1-1 sessions.
Please note exercise or art/craft sessions are not suitable for these rooms and we do not allow parties in them.

Access
Both buildings are have ground floor access and accessible toliets.
Parking and transport links
AT BV Hall there is a car park. You must check with the Centre Manager before parking.
There is Newham Council controlled parking on the street around the Village Hall from Monday to Sunday between the hours of 8am and 6.30pm.
There is no parking at Royal Wharf Community Dock. Parking is not managed by Newham Council but by a private company and is in force 24 hours a day, all week. We do not have any parking spaces or ability to arrange them. There are notices on lamp posts beside parking bays with details about how to pay.
West Silvertown DLR station is just a few minutes’ walk away from both centres, and the 474 bus stops nearby.
Catering
At BV there is an onsite kitchen which is available for bookings with the Main Hall at £50 for the duration of your event. It is perfect for serving hot and cold drinks, cakes and snacks. There is a cooker, fridge, microwave, hot water urns and a dishwasher.
There is not a kitchen for use by hirers at Royal Wharf Community Dock. You can use outside caterers but remember there is no where to heat food up or keep it warm.

You are welcome to bring your own alcohol but must not sell it. Please note that WSF does not have a licence to sell alcohol and it is strictly forbidden to sell alcohol at your event yourself.
