Would you like to help our local community? Then please consider supporting us by volunteering.
Why volunteer for WSF?
We rely on volunteers to help us run the wide range of activities and services that we do. But we know that volunteering is about more than giving your time for free. It’s about helping your community while gaining new skills, making new friends – and hopefully having lots of fun too.
We’re currently looking for more volunteers in these areas:
Could you mentor a young person? We run a mentoring programme for year 10 students at Oasis Academy Silvertown.
No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided: you just need to be friendly, reliable, a good listener, and interested in getting to know a young person and supporting them to develop their skills and confidence.
We'll ask you to commit to being in school on a Wednesday morning, 0830-0930am, every week for 12 weeks, to spend time with the young person you're matched with. You'll probably also need to set aside about 30 minutes a week, at a time convenient to you, to prepare for the next week's session.
For further information please email firstname.lastname@example.org

Could your business or organisation partner with us?
Are you a company or other local organisation interested in making a donation? Or could we develop a bespoke sponsorship to support your company values and people development goals?
We welcome people who could give time to our youth club – whether by giving inspirational talks to young people, career and interview workshops, or advice on how to manage money.
And we’re always delighted to host teams looking for a useful way to spend a volunteering or teambuilding day.
At WSF, we love bright ideas! If this sounds like you, please get in touch with us firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss potential ways of working together.
