Would you like to help our local community? Then please consider supporting us by volunteering.
Why volunteer for WSF?
We rely on volunteers to help us run the wide range of activities and services that we do. But we know that volunteering is about more than giving your time for free. It’s about helping your community while gaining new skills, making new friends – and hopefully having lots of fun too.
We’re currently looking for more volunteers in these areas:
Could you mentor a young person? We run a mentoring programme for year 10 students at Oasis Academy Silvertown.
Full training will be provided, and support given throughout. You will follow a structured mentoring programme whereby you will meet with your mentee once a week (in school for the first 3 weeks, and then either in school or via Microsoft teams to fit with your schedule). Sessions take place from 8:30am-9:15am on Wednesdays for 12 weeks.
No prior experience is required - you just need to be friendly, reliable, live or work in the area and have an interest in young people.
