Bee Friendly: Herbaceous Border Drawing Workshops for families

28 October @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Free

Hosted by Art in the Docks at Britannia Village Hall Part of The Big Draw Festival 2025 Join us for a creative celebration of bees, blooms, and community! In this hands-on Bee Friendly Big Draw workshop, you’ll explore the beauty and biodiversity of our local herbaceous borders through drawing. Led by artists from Art in the Docks, these relaxed, inclusive sessions invite everyone — from seasoned sketchers to complete beginners — to take inspiration from nature and discover the patterns, colours, and forms that help pollinators thrive.

Together, we’ll create large-scale collaborative drawings inspired by the plants that attract bees and other pollinators, celebrating the life and energy that connects our gardens and green spaces. Expect a welcoming atmosphere, plenty of materials, and guidance to help you express your creativity while learning about the importance of pollinator-friendly planting.

For families with children aged 0-16 – parents/carers must stay with the children.
