WSF runs Britannia Village Hall , offering flexible spaces for hire, whether you are a group or looking for a space for a family gathering. We often work with:
- Individuals and families hosting parties and other celebrations
- Practitioners seeking a space to run fitness and wellbeing classes
- Organisations hosting meetings, seminars and exhibitions
- Groups seeking a venue for arts and craft activities, adult learning or sessions for children
Our prices are affordable and provide great value for money.
We also offer a 10% discount to Britannia Village Service Charge payers at BV Hall, upon presentation of address. There are also discounts anyone who makes regular bookings.
The income we receive from hire goes to improving our activities and services. So when you making a booking with us, your local community benefits too!

BV Hall
ONE-OFF HIRES
You can hire between 12pm and 9pm for the event/party to take place.
All set up and clean up time must be included in your hire times. Whatever the end hire time is will be when all the required cleaning must be done and then you will vacate the building.
If you hire until 9pm you can then add another hour on until 10pm to complete the cleaning, but this cannot be part of the event, and all music must be switched off and most guests will have left.
If you wish to have a party that goes on past 9pm, then this is not the venue for your event.
Main Hall
Our large hall is airy with a high ceiling, giving a great sense of space. It has a sprung wood floor and is ideal for larger parties and celebrations, exhibitions, and fitness activities. It can host up to 160 people.
Dimensions: 15.2m x 16.5m
Standard rate is £73 per hour (BV residents £66 per hour)
Our Hub Room is a medium-size space which can be flexibly configured for parties and celebrations, group activities and meetings. It is best for groups of up to 40 people.
Dimensions: 11m x 6.7m
The standard rate is £57 per hour (BV residents £51 per hour)
Kitchen
A galley kitchen is available to hire along with the Hall or Hub, for a £52.50 flat fee per hire.
Our Side Building is a self-contained L-shaped space with its own toilet and small kitchenette area for making drinks. It is best for meetings, tutoring and small activity sessions. It is best for groups of up to 30 people. It is not suitable for parties.
Standard rate is £33 per hour (BV residents £30 per hour)

Access
Our buildings have ground floor access and accessible toilets.
Parking and transport links
At BV Hall there is a car park. You must check when bookings about usage before parking.
We cannot guarnatee spaces a but there are are usually 3 or 4 free. You cannot reserve spaces and must not double park etc. We must know about any proposed usage before your hire takes place.
Other parking is controlled on the streets by Newham Council up to 6pm every day of the week including weekends for parking on the road, with some pay and display bays. Details of how to pay are on the signs by the bays.
West Silvertown DLR station is just a few minutes’ walk away from both centres, and the 330 bus stops nearby.
Catering
At BV there is an onsite kitchen which is available for bookings with the Main Hall at £52.50 for the duration of your event. It is perfect for serving hot and cold drinks, cakes and snacks. There is a cooker, fridge, microwave and a dishwasher. You cannot bring in other cooking equipment to use at your hire.
You are welcome to bring your own alcohol but must not sell it. Please note that WSF does not have a licence to sell alcohol and it is strictly forbidden to sell alcohol at your event yourself.
