WSF Strategy 2025-28

After months of working in the background, we’re glad to be launching WSF’s updated Mission and Values, as well as a new Theory of Impact and a Strategy for 2025-28.

How did we create this plan?

  • We began by speaking to people that regularly come to WSF activities, asking them what words they associate with us. We did this exercise with our SEND play session, kids after school club, youth club, parent coffee morning, under 5s stay and play group, food pantry and ESOL classes.
  • Our staff team held an away day, looking at the words community members had said. We looked through for common themes and words that resonated with us. This gave us our new values, and the word “belong” as an important word for our mission statement.
  • The staff team also looked at all the activities we run within each project, and the outcomes and impact for each project. The SLT then combined these separate “outcome triangles” into one “outcome triangle” for the whole organisation.
  • SLT, project managers and trustees then had a vision afternoon, in which we came up with the circular arrow shape for our Theory of Impact. We then did a SWOT analysis and used this to decide on the strategic objectives for the next 3 years.
